While officials have not yet disclosed the precise missile variant, purchase quantities, total cost, or delivery schedule, defense analysts point to the Barracuda-500M as a likely candidate. The broader Anduril Barracuda-M lineup includes subsonic, jet-powered cruise missiles configured for both air and surface launching, carrying warheads exceeding 100 pounds with operating speeds up to 500 knots and ranges over 500 nautical miles. According to reporting from The War Zone, Latvia’s lack of tactical strike aircraft means the country would acquire the surface-launched variant, designated the SLB-500M.
