Accreditation Ceremony in Astana
On August 28, 2025, Dace Rutka, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to the Republic of Kazakhstan, formally presented her letter of credentials to President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev. the ceremony took place at the Ak Orda presidential residence in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Ambassadors from nine countries participated in the accreditation ceremony alongside Ambassador Rutka. These included representatives from Ukraine, Georgia, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Belgium, India, Algeria, and the United Nations Permanent Representative.
Meetings with Kazakh Officials
Prior to the official ceremony, on august 27, 2025, Ambassador Rutka met with Arman Issetov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, to submit copies of her credentials. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, especially in the areas of transit, transport, and logistics, and also exploring opportunities to enhance EU-Central Asian cooperation.
