Riga,Latvia – The Latvian Road Safety Directorate (CSDD) announced a notable increase in its capital,signaling a strong commitment to enhancing road safety initiatives across the country. The CSDD’s capital has grown by €2.365 million, bringing the total to €42.38 million. “CSDD’s capital has been increased by incorporating the positive difference between the company’s equity and the sum of the share capital and reserves, which, according to the law, cannot be included in the share capital,” according to official documents filed with the Latvian Enterprise Register.
This capital boost follows a prosperous year for the CSDD. In 2023, the organization reported a 13.8% increase in revenue, reaching €60.023 million.While profits decreased by 39.8% to €3.953 million, the reinvestment of these funds demonstrates a long-term vision for improving road safety in Latvia.
