[다경뉴스=백두산 기자] Starting on October 26, the Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation will hold the ‘2024 Upcycling Art Festa’, which will mainly feature an exhibition of works on the theme of upcycling (upcycling) and an eco-friendly experience event, in the area of ​​Deokgokcheon, Yeongdeok-eup, starting at 6 p.m. The site is holding the Yeongdeok Lifestyle Culture Festival ‘Udadadada Festival’ with a different theme every day.

Last October 29th (Tuesday) was ‘Classical Day’ at the outdoor stage of Deokgokcheon, with the Yeonghae Middle School Wind Orchestra, Yeongdeok Junior Flute, sign language performance, and poetry recitation, as well as the foundation’s culture and arts education program, Show Choir, ‘Kirikkiri Neighborhood Rock ( A performance presentation was also held.

‘Kirikkiri Neighborhood Rock’, which aims to be a ‘show choir’, is a combination of the words ‘show’ meaning a performance and ‘choir’ meaning a choir, and is a culture and arts education program that has been running since July of this year.

On the day of the presentation, children who actively participated in class with a high attendance rate at every session for three months performed famous songs such as ‘Do-Re-Mi Song’, ‘Edelweiss’, and ‘Hello Everyone’ from the musical movie ‘The Sound of Music’ on a large stage crowded with hundreds of people. They performed three songs and received loud applause.

A person in charge of the Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation said, “In the beginning, the children were embarrassed to even raise their voices, but as the sessions progressed, they gained confidence and were proud of the way they were able to sing, dance, and even act.” He added, “I am proud of the way children are able to sing, dance, and even act.” “The goal is to help them increase their expressiveness and self-esteem and grow into a generation equipped with artistic skills,” he said.

‘Kirikkiri Neighborhood Rock’ is scheduled to be invited to the 2024 Daegu/Gyeongbuk Performing Arts Art Market on November 18th.

This program is one of the ‘2024 Gyeongbuk Culture and Arts Educator Capacity Building Support Project’ and is being conducted in connection with the ‘Saesak Regional Children’s Center’ located in Yeonghae-myeon, Yeongdeok-gun.
