Launch of the modernization of Ndadaye Melchior airport

President Ndayishimiye and Ambassador Zhao JiangPing formally launch the airport modernization works.

Bujumbura, 27/08/2024 – In concord with Barundi’s international and socio-economic insurance policies, in presence Ms. Zhao JiangPing, Chinese language Ambassador to Burundi, HE Ndayishimiye Evariste, Main Basic and President of Burundi, formally opened the beginning of the Ndadaye Melchior Worldwide Airport rehabilitation, extension and modernization mission. As acknowledged by Amb. Zhao JiangPing in his speech, this renovation of the runway, the development of an gear management tower with trendy applied sciences and an administrative constructing, might be completed throughout the framework of fruitful Sino-Burundian cooperation.
