Lawyer Reveals Unpaid Salary of Bakery Boss’s Assaulted Employee

Jakarta – The victim of an alleged assault by the ⁢son of a bakery ‌owner in East Jakarta, Dwi Ayu Dharmawati, has revealed that her October salary remains unpaid. Through her legal counsel,she is urging the company to demonstrate ‍good faith and settle ‌the outstanding payment.

“Regarding her salary, Ayu’s ‍October ⁤wages haven’t been paid,” stated Jaenudin, ‌a member of Dwi Ayu’s legal team, speaking at the Parliament ‌complex in Senayan,‍ Central Jakarta, on​ Tuesday, December 17, 2024. “We urge ​the company, the owner of the bakery, to⁢ please make the payment. Failure to do so‍ could lead ⁤to further legal action.”

Jaenudin disclosed that the unpaid salary amounts to Rp 2.1 million. According to Dwi⁤ Ayu, several other employees are also owed wages,​ with some facing a three-month backlog.

“There are other employees who are also affected. They say there’s a three-month delay​ in their salaries,” Dwi Ayu stated.

This revelation adds another layer of complexity to the case, which has already garnered significant public attention. Dwi ⁤Ayu‍ previously shared that she had to⁤ sell her motorcycle to afford legal depiction.

During a hearing at the House‌ of Representatives ⁤commission III, Dwi Ayu recounted how she was initially provided with a lawyer who claimed ⁤to be sent⁤ by the police.However, ‌she later discovered ‍that ‌the lawyer was actually representing the perpetrator’s side.

“I was sent a lawyer who claimed to be from the Legal Aid Institute and representing the police,” Dwi Ayu explained. “Later, I found out ‍that he‍ was actually working for the perpetrator.”

Dwi Ayu afterward hired a new lawyer but incurred⁢ substantial expenses in‍ the process. She revealed that⁣ her mother⁤ had to sell her motorcycle to cover the legal fees.

“My mother ⁣had to sell her ⁣motorcycle because the lawyer kept coming to our house and ‌asking for money,” Dwi ayu saeid. “After selling the motorcycle, we couldn’t reach ⁢him anymore.”

The case ⁤continues to unfold, with‍ Dwi Ayu seeking justice ‍for the alleged ⁤assault and now,⁤ the unpaid wages.
