Layla Capital Secures $50M for Real Estate Lending role

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Layla Capital, a direct lender specializing in U.S.commercial real estate opportunities, announced the initial closing of its second fund, Layla Fund II, LP, with $50 million in capital commitments. The funding includes a mix of new and returning investors, such as family offices and institutional investors.
The Boca Raton-based firm targets senior secured real estate bridge loans up to $15 million across the U.S. property market. Fund II will continue this strategy, focusing on various asset types, including single-family investment properties, multifamily units, retail spaces, industrial sites, warehouses, and development locations. The company plays a key role in providing capital for these ventures.
Since its founding in 2017, Layla Capital has completed nearly 75 transactions, with an average loan size exceeding $4 million. Fund I, which closed in January 2024, deployed more then $54 million across 12 deals in six states and eight property types. This new funding underscores the firm’s growing role in the real estate lending market.
“The U.S. commercial real estate landscape is more complex than ever, and workable, fast capital solutions are hard to find-which is where we come in,” said Max Deibel, partner with Layla Capital.
Justin Cooper, Layla’s founder and managing partner, who led the Fund II capital raise, added that the company will continue to provide a reliable direct lending solution, focusing on value creation for investors, brokers, and borrowers. DLA Piper provided legal counsel for Fund II.As of June 1, 2025, Layla Capital manages nearly $100 million in assets.

Layla Capital plans to continue deploying capital from Fund II, focusing on its established strategy of providing bridge loans for commercial real estate projects across the United states. The firm aims to expand its reach and impact in the direct lending market.
