A project, with funding from the Japanese government and in collaboration with the Lebanese government, has enhanced essential health and water supply services for more than 215,000 people in Lebanon.
Vulnerable communities, particularly in southern Lebanon, are facing a worsening humanitarian situation due to increased regional tensions.
To address thes urgent needs,essential health and water services have been provided to over 215,000 residents across several governorates,thanks to Japanese funding and partnerships with the Lebanese public health,energy,and water ministries.
The project included the provision of medical equipment and energy-saving solutions to 10 hospitals in the Békaa, Mont-Lebanon, Nabatieh, North Lebanon, and South Lebanon governorates. Five hospitals received essential medical equipment, while the other five were equipped with more than 8,700 LED lights to improve energy efficiency.
