Lebanon Rocked: Israel Unleashes Devastating Strike on Hezbollah’s Secret Underground Lair
Israeli Army Destroys Hezbollah’s Underground Military Facility in Lebanon
The Israeli army has confirmed the destruction of a strategic underground military facility built by the Hezbollah group in Lebanon over the past 15 years. The facility, which was located in a rugged mountainous area in southern Lebanon, was destroyed using 400 tons of explosives.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced the attack on social media, revealing that the facility was more than 1.5km long and contained equipment and weapons used by saboteurs. The IDF spokesman stated that the facility was equipped with anti-tank missiles, grenades, RPG missiles, mines, and other improvised explosive devices.
Local residents in the area reported feeling the ground shake due to powerful explosions during the attack. Seismometers in northern Israel, bordering southern Lebanon, also issued earthquake warnings at the time of the attack.
According to the FDD Research Institute, the destroyed facility was a large base secretly built by Hezbollah at a huge cost, estimated to be in the millions of dollars. The IDF suspects that Hezbollah planned to use this base to attack communities in northern Israel and cause massacres similar to the bloody raid by Hamas gunmen into southern Israel 10 years ago.
The destruction of the facility is a significant blow to Hezbollah’s military capabilities and demonstrates the Israeli army’s commitment to protecting its citizens from terrorist threats.
Hezbollah has not yet responded to the destruction of the facility.
