LeevonPPK Children’s Hospital Donation Amount Revealed
Local Football Club’s Goals Translate into Thousands for Children’s Charity
A unique fundraising initiative by the “Leevon PPK” football club has resulted in a ample donation to a children’s charity. Throughout the 2024 season, while competing in the Future League and the Latvian Cup, the club partnered with SIA “Ceļinieks 01” to turn on-field success into real-world impact.
“Ceļinieks 01” pledged 100 euros for every goal scored by “Leevon PPK.” With a total of 49 goals netted during the season, the company contributed 4,900 euros to the charity. This innovative “goals for good” campaign demonstrates a powerful synergy between sports and philanthropy.
The fundraising efforts didn’t stop with goals scored. A charity match was also held, with all proceeds from ticket sales directed to the foundation. Additional support from other club partners further boosted the total amount raised.
Māris Landmanis, co-founder and head coach of “Leevon PPK,” shared that the idea for this charitable endeavor had been in progress for several years. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see this initiative come to fruition and provide meaningful support to children in need,” Landmanis stated. He emphasized the club’s commitment to using its platform to make a positive difference in the community.
This campaign serves as an inspiring example of how sports teams can leverage their visibility and fan base to support important causes. As of December 3, 2025, the initiative highlights a growing trend of socially responsible sports organizations prioritizing community engagement.
