Puck Pieterse, Ondrej cink Dominate Leogang XC World Cup

Leogang, Austria, a mainstay on the mountain bike World Cup calendar since 2010, recently hosted the fourth round of the 2025 XC World Cup series. Part of a triple mountain bike World Cup weekend at The Epic Bikepark, the event featured downhill, enduro, and XC races.
Puck Pieterse showcased her prowess in the elite women’s division, securing victories in both the XCC Short Track and XCO events. Christopher Blevins continued his dominance in the men’s XCC, while Ondrej Cink claimed his first elite XCO World Cup win after 12 years of competition.
Pieterse launched her prosperous weekend by winning the XCC Short Track, pulling ahead at the halfway mark and maintaining a 16-second lead over Samara Maxwell. Blevins surged to the front on the final climb of the men’s XCC, edging out his Specialized teammate Martin Vidaurre Kossmann.

Heavy rain transformed the XCO course into a muddy and treacherous landscape. Pieterse excelled in these conditions, leading nearly the entire women’s race and finishing 50 seconds ahead of Maxwell. in the men’s race, Cink rode away from the competition on lap three, ultimately winning by 18 seconds over mathias Flückiger.
