Legendary Francesco Totti, former captain of Roma and Italian national team, has revealed the fact that he came back from retirement to play football at the age of 48.
A few days ago, Totti said in a statement that several clubs in the Italian Serie A “Calcio” have contacted him to return to the game.
Francesco said on the “Sport Mediaset” channel: “My return to the game of football is not a joke that two teams want to include me.”
He continued: “We’ll see if I think about it.”
It is worth noting that Totti retired from Roma team 7 years ago and never played for any other team in his football career he started his career in 1993 and retired in 2017.
Totti played 785 matches with Roma in all competitions, scoring 307 goals and scoring 207. He won the Italian league once, the Italian Cup twice and the Italian Super Cup and won the 2006 World Cup with the Italian national team.
