Lehigh Women’s Basketball Game Preview: Lehigh vs. La Salle

Lehigh women’s basketball will play La Salle on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. This game takes place at Tom Gola Arena. Lehigh aims to extend its win streak to four games. Lehigh holds a 4-1 record, while La Salle is 3-3.

In Lehigh’s last game, they beat Hofstra 80-61 on November 22. Four players scored in double figures. Maddie Albrecht led the team with a season-high 19 points, shooting 7-of-9 from the field.

Albrecht has had a strong season. She has scored in double figures in every game so far. She averages 16 points per game and leads the Patriot League in field goal percentage at 57.4%.

In addition to Albrecht, Meghan O’Brien scored 14 points, Whitney Lind added 11 points, and Lily Fandre contributed 10 points against Hofstra. The team shot 44.4% from the field and made eight three-pointers. Hofstra managed only 33.3% shooting.

La Salle recently defeated American 69-60. Aryss Macktoon scored a game-high 22 points. Ashleigh Connor leads the Explorers with an average of 11.2 points per game, while Macktoon averages 9.5 points per game.

This will be the third consecutive season Lehigh faces La Salle. Last year, Lehigh won a historic game, scoring 106 points, the most in a single game for the program. They made 17 three-pointers, the third-most in a game.

Lehigh’s all-time record against La Salle is 5-12. The last time they played at Tom Gola Arena in 2022, Lehigh lost 66-54.
