Dylan Williams, a 27-year-old Dover airman, appeared in federal court on September 3, 2026, facing serious charges involving the coercion and enticement of a minor, according to court documents cited by the U.S. Department of Justice District of Delaware.

Federal Charges Filed Against Dover Airman

Federal authorities charged Williams with coercion and enticement, transportation with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware, the case centers on communications and travel involving a 15-year-old victim from Falls Township, Pennsylvania. Court records state that Williams engaged in sexually explicit text exchanges with the minor, acknowledged her youth during the conversations, and nevertheless arranged to drive several hours to pick her up at her home. Following the drive to Pennsylvania, Williams transported the victim back to Dover, Delaware, where the assault occurred. If convicted on the federal charges, Williams faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison. Federal prosecutors note that actual sentences are determined by a federal district court judge using the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutory factors. The case is docketed in the District Court for the District of Delaware under Case No. 26-mj-448.

Multi-Agency Investigation Under Project Safe Childhood

The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Delaware Violent Crime and Safe Streets Task Force, working alongside several partner agencies. According to federal announcements, assistance was provided by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Dover Police Department, and the Falls Township Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Claudia L. Pare is prosecuting the case, which was announced by U.S. Attorney Benjamin L. Wallace. Authorities brought the prosecution under Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. The program aims to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse by combining federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the internet while identifying and rescuing victims. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
