Leonardo… Benfica need 40 million… and Al Hilal agree
The management of the Portuguese club Benfica has stipulated that the officials of the Al Hilal company increase their offer to 35 to 40 million euros, in order to sell the contract of the Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo to “Al-Azraq”, it was revealed. “Al-Riyadiya” personal sources.
Sources say Al Hilal management are moving towards agreeing to the Portuguese club’s demands to settle the deal before the summer transfer window closes.
According to the same source, Al-Hilalians are currently negotiating with the Benfica administration the financial terms of the contract, as well as the annual salary the player will receive from the capital club.
If the three parties agree on these details, the contract will take on a formal character.
The 21-year-old striker progressed through the ranks at Brazilian club Santos and broke into the first team by 2020, before moving to Benfica last January 5.
According to football website Transfermarkt, he made 168 appearances for Santos, scoring 54 goals and assisting 11 others.
With Benfica, he played 23 matches, scoring seven goals and assisting one goal.
Leonardo, whose height is 177 cm, occupies the position of open or late striker.
