Levski Sofia is actively working to secure the futures of key players Everton Bala and Maicon, while also exploring potential new additions to the squad. Negotiations with Everton Bala have begun, and the club is also fielding inquiries for Maicon from several European and Saudi Arabian clubs.

According to reports from Topsport.bg and gerena.bg, Levski has initiated talks with Everton Bala regarding a new contract. The 27-year-old Brazilian winger’s current deal expires in June 2026, and the club is keen to retain their top scorer. Gong.bg reports that the club has started an operation to secure a new deal for the goalscorer.

Everton Bala is reportedly set to meet with Levski owner Nasko Sirakov to discuss his future, as reported by Topsport.bg. This indicates the seriousness with which the club views the negotiations.

Meanwhile, Maicon, the 25-year-old Brazilian left-back, is attracting significant interest from abroad. Transferfeed.com details interest from clubs in Turkey, Germany, and Saudi Arabia. Specifically, Fenerbahçe and Borussia Dortmund have emerged as potential destinations, alongside unnamed clubs from Saudi Arabia. Al-Ahli has also reportedly inquired about the player, according to Globo.com.

Transfermarkt.us confirms Maicon arrived at Levski Sofia in 2024 from Nova Iguaçu-RJ, with a transfer fee of €250k. He has quickly become a valuable asset for the Bulgarian club.

Levski Sofia has also been linked with other potential transfers. Sportal.bg reported that several European agents have approached Oliver Kamdem, a 23-year-old French-Cameroonian right-back, with offers. Svetoslav Vutsov, Levski’s 23-year-old goalkeeper, is also attracting interest from Thun, the leader of the Swiss league.

The club also considered Marcelino Carreazo as a winter transfer target, but he ultimately did not join. Levski has been active in both bringing in new talent and securing the long-term commitments of existing players.

Looking at recent departures, Transfermarkt.us details several players who have left Levski Sofia, including José Córdoba to Norwich for €3.65m, Plamen Andreev to Feyenoord for €1.20m, and Ricardinho to Viktoria Plzeň for €1.20m. Zdravko Dimitrov also moved to Bodrum FK for €200k, while Andrian Kraev joined Casa Pia on a free transfer.

The club’s transfer activity in the 2024/25 season has included the arrivals of Aldair, Maicon, Everton Bala, Mustapha Sangaré, Svetoslav Vutsov, Clement Ikenna, Oliver Kamdem, Aleksandar Kolev, and Christian Makoun. Georgi Kostadinov and Matej Markovic joined on free transfers, while Gasper Trdin and Karl Fabien’s transfers are currently listed as unknown fees.

Levski Sofia appears to be building a competitive squad for the future, balancing the need to retain key players with the ambition to strengthen the team through strategic acquisitions. The ongoing negotiations with Everton Bala and the interest in Maicon highlight the club’s proactive approach to player management.
