Dubai’s cultural calendar continues to spotlight homegrown and international talent through long-running initiatives that blend artistic expression with community engagement. Among these, the recurring event known as «ليالي الفن» (Art Nights) has established itself as a consistent platform for emerging and established creators across the United Arab Emirates. Rooted in the city’s broader vision to nurture creative industries, the program invites artists, designers, and performers to showcase their work in accessible, public-facing formats. Organized in collaboration with key cultural and financial hubs, «ليالي الفن» has evolved into a recurring fixture that emphasizes inclusivity and interdisciplinary exchange.
Recent editions have taken place at prominent urban venues, transforming commercial districts into temporary galleries and performance spaces. The initiative aligns with municipal strategies to position Dubai as a regional center for innovation in the arts, supporting both local practitioners and international participants through open calls and curated programming.
According to official announcements from the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), the most recent cycle of the event was scheduled to take place in late April 2026, with activities centered at Jumeirah Gate Village. The DFM confirmed that the 21st edition of «ليالي الفن» would run from April 23 to April 26, 2026, in partnership with Opera Gallery and Christie’s, featuring specialized installations and sculptural works developed through these collaborations.
In preparation for the event, the DFM extended the submission deadline for artists wishing to participate, announcing on April 8, 2026, that applications would be accepted until April 15, 2026.
«ليالي الفن» has become a key component of Dubai’s evolving creative ecosystem, which includes government-backed initiatives such as the Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artists Fellowship that provides long-term training and mentorship in partnership with institutions like Rhode Island School of Design. At the same time, spaces like Tashkeel nurture artistic growth through professional development programs, production facilities, and residencies.
Alserkal Avenue, once a warehouse district in Al Quoz, is now home to over 25 contemporary galleries, studios, and cultural spaces. It has become synonymous with Dubai’s creative rise, hosting exhibitions, performances, and discursive programs that support diverse, often underrepresented, voices. Since its founding in 2007, Art Dubai has championed emerging markets and artists, positioning the city as a central node in the global art network.
