LG Reimagines Home entertainment with Ultra-Thin OLED evo W6 TV
Las Vegas – LG is making a bold statement at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) with the unveiling of its new OLED evo W6 ”Wallpaper” TV. Continuing a legacy first established in 2017, the W6 pushes the boundaries of television design with an astonishingly slim profile – just 9 millimeters thick.
This isn’t simply about aesthetics. The W6 represents a notable leap in LG’s OLED technology. The company promises noticeable improvements in brightness, color accuracy, and black levels compared to previous generations. Self-reliant testing by Intertek has also certified the display as “reflection-free,” addressing a common concern for viewers in brightly lit rooms.
Perhaps the moast innovative feature is the integration of LG’s Zero Connect Box. This allows for wholly wireless transmission of lossless 4K video and audio to the TV, eliminating the clutter of cables – provided that the box remains within 10 meters (approximately 33 feet) of the display. This offers unprecedented adaptability in room setup and design.
Gamers will also appreciate the W6’s specifications. The TV boasts a refresh rate of up to 165Hz, coupled with support for AMD’s FreeSync Premium technology, promising a smooth and responsive gaming experience.
The OLED evo W6 will be available in two screen sizes: 77 inches and 83 inches. While LG has not yet announced pricing or specific availability dates, the return of the Wallpaper line signals a continued commitment to premium,design-focused home entertainment solutions.
