Liam Payne Death: Hotel Staff Implicated in Investigation
New Developments in Liam Payne Death inquiry: Two More Implicated
Palermo, Argentina – Nearly two months after the tragic death of former One Direction star Liam Payne, the investigation has taken a new turn with the addition of two more suspects and the summoning of three others for questioning.
Payne, 29, died on October 16th after falling from the third floor of the CasaSur hotel in Palermo. An autopsy revealed the cause of death as the fall, with toxicology reports indicating the presence of alcohol, cocaine, and the antidepressant sertralina in his system.
Judge Laura Bruniard has ordered the questioning of businessman Rogelio Nores, waiter Braian Paiz, and hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra. Nores, a friend and manager of Payne, faces charges of abandonment of a person resulting in death and facilitation of narcotics. Paiz and Pereyra are also accused of facilitating narcotics. The questioning, scheduled for next week via video conference, will also include Esteban Reynaldo Grassi, the hotel’s head of security who was on duty at the time of Payne’s death, and Gilda Martín, the hotel manager. While specific charges against Grassi and Martín remain undisclosed, sources suggest Grassi’s involvement stems from a call to emergency services seven minutes before Payne’s fatal fall.
Last week, Payne’s father, Geoff Payne, provided Argentine authorities with an email from Payne’s neuropsiquiatrist to Nores, expressing concern about Payne’s well-being and warning that mixing alcohol with his prescribed antidepressant could be fatal. This email, sent weeks before Payne’s death, raises questions about the support system surrounding the singer in the weeks leading up to the tragedy.
In a recent interview with Telefé Noticias, Paiz denied supplying Payne with drugs, stating that Payne was already intoxicated when they met. He claimed Payne had contacted him for work and that they had met at the Park Hyatt hotel in palermo, where Payne was staying. Paiz described Payne as “already drugged” and said he didn’t eat anything during their encounter.
Paiz also revealed that Payne had requested his contact details and sent him messages expressing a desire to use drugs. According to paiz, Payne was headed to a concert or event after their meeting. In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, Nores refuted the accusations against him, stating that he had cooperated with authorities as a witness and had not been contacted by them since. He denied abandoning Payne, claiming he had visited Payne at the hotel three times on the day of his death and left 40 minutes before the incident. Nores insisted that Payne was surrounded by people in the hotel lobby when he departed.
The investigation into Liam Payne’s death continues, with authorities seeking to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy and determine the extent of responsibility of those involved.
