Libertadores: Fortaleza Exits After Colo-Colo Fan Invasion
Colo-Colo vs. Fortaleza Match Marred by fan Misconduct
SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) — Thursday’s Copa Libertadores group stage match between Colo-Colo and Fortaleza was marred by unruly fan behavior at the Monumental de Santiago. The incidents occurred during the second round of the competition.
Deyverson, a player for Fortaleza, brought the situation to the referee’s attention early in the second half, displaying objects that had been thrown onto the field by spectators.
Adding to the disruption, the glass barrier separating the stands from the playing field was broken, further jeopardizing the safety and order of the event.
