Liberty Softball Team’s 2025 Schedule Highlights
The Liberty softball team will participate in the Shriner’s Children’s Clearwater Invitational in 2025. This event is a key part of their schedule. Coach Dot Richardson leads the team as they face strong competition.

2025 Schedule Overview
- Homestand: Liberty will play 28 of their 56 games at Liberty Softball Stadium, starting with a 14-game homestand.
- Liberty Softball Classic: Feb. 21-23, featuring Charleston Southern, Saint Joseph’s, Hofstra, and Radford.
- Liberty Softball Invitational: Feb. 28 – March 2, with Georgetown, Drexel, Appalachian State, and Lehigh.
The Lady Flames also have key matchups against Virginia Tech (Feb. 26), James Madison (March 5), Longwood (March 26), and Virginia (April 8).
Conference USA Series
Liberty will host five series:

Season Opening
The season starts on Feb. 7-9 at THE Spring Games in Leesburg, Florida. Liberty plays Radford on Feb. 7, alongside games against Louisville, Cleveland State, and Rutgers.
ESPN Showcase
Liberty will compete in the Shriner’s Children’s Clearwater Invitational, Feb. 14-16, where they will face Charlotte, Alabama, Missouri, Wichita State, and Auburn. All games may appear on ESPN platforms.
Recent Achievements
Last year, Liberty made their fourth consecutive NCAA postseason appearance, winning the Conference USA Softball Championship. They recorded six wins against Top 25 teams.
CUSA Softball Championship
Western Kentucky will host the 2025 CUSA Softball Championship from May 7-10. The champion earns a spot in the 2025 NCAA Division I Softball Championship.
