The first incident began at 7:12 p.m. When an unknown man contacted the communications center. The caller claimed to have shot his mother and provided the address of a Stop & Shop located near 33rd Street and Yankee Hill Road.
Officers arrived at the business and found that it was running as usual with nothing out of the ordinary occurring at the scene.
While police officers were still present at the Stop & Shop, the communications center received a second call from a male. This individual reported that he had shot both of his parents at a residence located near Grainger Parkway and Katrina Lane.
Lincoln police responded to the second location, where they made contact and found nothing out of the ordinary.
The Lincoln Police Department has stated that the investigation into these back-to-back hoax calls remains ongoing.
