Canadiens Face Injury Challenges Ahead of Rangers Clash
MONTREAL – Teh Montreal Canadiens are navigating a series of injury setbacks as they prepare to face the New York Rangers at the Bell Centre tonight. Defenseman Kaiden Guhle sustained a lower-body injury and is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks, a significant blow to the team’s defensive corps.
Adding to the Canadiens’ concerns, forwards Kirby Dach and Patrik Laine are both listed as day-to-day with lower-body injuries. Both players will miss tonight’s game against the Rangers, leaving Head Coach Martin St-Louis to adjust his forward lines.
beck Recalled on Emergency Basis
To bolster the forward ranks in the wake of these injuries, the Canadiens have recalled forward Owen Beck from the Laval Rocket, their American Hockey League affiliate, on an emergency basis.This provides Beck with an opportunity to demonstrate his skills at the NHL level.
