Messi’s impressive performance also led to a new record. He became the fastest player to score 15 goals and provide 15 assists in MLS, achieving this feat in just 19 games.

Former Italian player Sebastian Giovinco previously held this record, scoring 15 goals and providing one assist in 29 games. Messi achieved this feat in 10 games less than Giovinco.

Inter Miami’s Current Standing

With this win, Messi and his team are in first place in the MLS Eastern Conference with 62 points from 28 games, including 19 wins, five draws, and four losses.

Inter Miami’s next game is against Atlanta United on September 19, to be played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
