Scotland’s Zander Fagerson is out of the British and Irish Lions tour to Australia because of a calf injury. ireland’s finlay Bealham will take his place as the Lions prepare for their matches against Australia. the Glasgow Warriors, Fagerson’s club, shared the news, wishing him a strong recovery.
Fagerson,29,last played for Glasgow in early April. He missed their United Rugby championship playoff semi-final loss to Leinster.
A veteran of more than 70 caps for Scotland, the tighthead prop participated in the 2021 Lions tour to south Africa, where he played against Sigma Lions. The upcoming tour will see Andy Farrell’s Lions face Australia in three Tests scheduled for July 19, July 26, and August 2, along with seven other matches.
