Nine cases of listeriosis⁤ have been confirmed in connection with the outbreak,⁤ which has led ‍to⁣ a significant recall of ready meals produced by⁤ Dublin-based ⁤Ballymaguire Foods. The⁤ Food Safety Authority ‍of Ireland (FSAI) issued a recall ⁢notice for branded ready-made meals and side dishes due to the potential‍ presence of Listeria monocytogenes, the ⁢bacteria ⁢responsible ⁣for causing listeriosis.

retailers Act Swiftly to Remove Implicated products

In response‍ to⁤ the FSAI recall notice, retailers have been instructed to immediately⁢ remove ⁣all implicated products from sale. The extensive list of affected products includes various own-brand labels from Tesco, SuperValu, and Centra, alongside specific product lines from Tesco (‘Irish ⁤Classics’, ‘Classic Kitchen’, ‘Finest’), SuperValu (‘Freshly Prepared’,⁤ ‘Signature⁣ Taste’), and Aldi⁢ (‘Specially Selected’, ‘Inspired Cuisine’).
