“This place is great and safe for all people especially the lgbtqia+ community Kate is a great help and a mother to us all She helps so many people and if she can’t help you directly she guides you to who is able to help you Kate Barnhart is a well rounded person and a asset to the community as a whole”

“This facility is doing amazing things for the community! They are doing so, in such a major way! I stopped by with coworkers to make a large donation, and they were beyond gracious. We were able to talk with a lot of the community there, and they sang the praises of the shelter and it’s leadership.”

“I received my monkey pox vaccine here, and the people who provided the service couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. Even though its not a convenient location for me, when the 2nd dose becomes available, I will definitely try and make my appointment for this location.”

— Vincent Inzirillo · ★★★★☆

“I used to advocate for this place, until I realized the staff don’t care about keeping a safe space. Many hostile hoodlums who bully other folks, many clients aren’t lgbt and continue to use the system and abuse drugs nearby and get away with being reckless. The org has no plan to help youth transition into independence, just make them dependent on their limited services.”

“Kate Barnhart was the worst experience I ever had. She became hostile towards me when I found a place to live here in new york and was no longer homeless. Under Kate's supervision a lot of my mail came up missing. My mom mailed me money to New alteratives and Kate sent it back to my mom's home address and never told me about it. There was another client named Mr. Lilith under her supervision that came to New Alternatives to eat dinner. Mr. Lilith attacked me in a park and I had problems with Mr. Lilith from a youth drop in center and I filed criminal charges against him and Mr. Lilith had a wa”
