What visitors are saying
“Hear me out, having been to quite an amount of museums all over the world, I can confess that Colonial Quarters surprised me. :) It's a MUST HAVE when you visit St.Augustine, specially if you have a group of 9-12 y.o. kids :))) I don't know if all your guides are the same at that place, but I HIGHLY recommend Ellie (Elly?). I hear she works mostly on Mondays (info of Jan.2026). She is amazing, trust me! Our kids adored her! She is an great story teller, extremely funny, and obviously enjoys what she does. Thank you Ellie! You brightened our day.”

“Nestled within the ancient cobblestone streets of America's oldest city lies a treasure I stumbled upon with my family last summer—the Colonial Quarter of St. Augustine. What a revelation it was! June 30th, 2023 marked our first visit, though certainly not our last. The Quarter doesn't merely display history; it breathes life into it. Blacksmiths hammer red-hot metal into submission while musket fire cracks through the air unexpectedly—startling my daughter into fits of delighted squeals! Time bends here. One moment you're wandering through a 16th-century Spanish garrison, the next you're exa”

“We have been here before. Typically, the guides are energetic and fun. We had a guy was monotone, could hardly hear. An old guy focused on numbers and current day things. He didn't even talk about the armoru which was the first thing. He said, we can talk about that if you want. Yet, he never did. We will not bring visitors back here.”

“We only waited for the tour to start, but we were just early. We got the combo tickets from the Pirate museum and it was absolutely worth it! Our tour guide was Rick and he was perfect. We worried it would be geared towards kids, but Rick definitely made it informative and funny. His dad jokes were the best! Highly recommend it, especially if Rick is there.”

“Always love being a tourist in our own city! We came back in January and had an amazing time! From roaming the property to the informative tour from the actor. The live canon demonstration was awesome! The view of the fort from the tower is amazing as well. Highly recommend stopping by and enjoying the history!”

“Cooper was amazing! Not a super long tour, but the presentation was worth it. Got combo tickets with pirate museum and felt it was totally worth it. Plus lots of shade!”

“We purchased the combo tickets with the pirate treasure museum, definitely recommend doing that as they’re both fantastic. Our tour guide was wonderful, you could tell that he was legitimately passionate about history and enjoyed educating the crowd. We loved the blacksmith demonstration, the tour of the old house was very interesting. You get to walk through and read about it. My son enjoyed learning about the different flags and the pulleys! He is a little sensitive to loud noises so was nervous about the cannon but overall he enjoyed himself. After the guided tour, you can walk around the”

“Climb the watch tower for a great view of town then hope Cooper leads your tour. Cooper can perform pirate shanties on concertina (vintage accordion), blacksmith among flames and hot coals, even set off a cannon, while making all ages chuckle at his jokes. The price was worth the history lesson from Spanish to Colonial times. Walking by, I always thought the complex was larger, but the signage was informative. The ship was a nice surprise. There was one interactive video exhibit, and some pulleys with blocks for children to try their strength.”

“We opted for the combo ticket that granted us access to both the Colonial Quarter and Pirate Treasure Museum, and let me assure you, it was a worthwhile investment. On a sunny Saturday afternoon, our curiosity led us to the Colonial Quarter, seeking a deeper understanding of St. Augustine's history and the lifestyles of bygone eras. Our guide, Cooper, proved to be a highlight of the experience. Energetic, articulate, and possessing a profound knowledge of the subject matter, Cooper skillfully conveyed the historical context and information. The blacksmith demonstration, the guided tour of t”
