What visitors are saying

“Prices are exorbitant (see price list for drinks). If in a pinch, recommend using the vending machines or Grand Central Market for more reasonable price”

“OK folks there are two locations. There's the big Hudson News on the main floor behind the staircase of Apple, where the old telephone booths used to be back in the day. The other Hudson News is where they sell lottery tickets, it's a tad bit smaller and located near track 40. The staff is most friendly especially if you have a winning scratch-off ticket.”

“6.03 total for a smart water that’s insane, only bought it because I was really thirsty and had open it already.”

— Katian Vargas · ★☆☆☆☆ · 2025-5-12

“A quick and available stand to get your snacks and refreshments before boarding the train. They have self-checkout stations making it easy to get in and out.”

— Andres Ayala · ★★★★☆ · 2023-12-3

“Walked right out after the water scanned at $7. Whoever owns this place is out of their god damn mind. JFK has cheaper water.”

— Jonathan S · ★☆☆☆☆

“Ridiculously busy in the epicenter of Zoo York! Three entrance of ceaseless foot traffic. Mainstream English-language newspapers and magazines. Refreshments also sold in this circular storefront. Only foreigners working there.”

— Daniel Donnelly · ★★★★☆ · 2018-12-21

“Complete scam. My phone died and I had to buy a charger. The "cheapest" option was ridiculously overpriced at $40 and was broken out of the box.”

— Jeev Aan · ★☆☆☆☆

“High volume of customers at all hours. Prices high on account of this demand and location. All variety of English-language newspapers and magazines. Some refreshments like sodas and water.”

— Aniko Magyar · ★★★★☆ · 2018-12-23

“If I could leave zero stars I definitely would. Let me explain myself. I went to the store in grand central station in New York on 4/20. I was being followed around the instant I got into the store. The workers made me feel very uncomfortable as if I was doing something wrong and I haven’t even picked anything up. Once I got to self check out the workers that was watching me the whole time came up to me and took my products as they were trying to help me like I didn’t understand how to use the self check out when I never even asked for help. She began scanning my items for me and didn’t even k”

“I went to the Hudson News today 8/1/24 Store 2281 and processed transaction 542 and there I met Two of the most disgruntled employees. It was two females that instead of helping and using appropriate verbiage, they spoke about me under their breath as if I was in the ghetto. It was disgusting! If the female that had approached me first had asked, do you need help? I could have said yes my recipient got stuck I think you’re low on paper. She instead went on to gripe about why I was tugging on the paper. If only she knew I worked in retail while I was studying for my associate degree and bachelo”
