What visitors are saying

“The price gouging here has gotten out of control. Six dollars for a small bottle of water, and I saw a little bag of trail mix for TWELVE DOLLARS! I live in DC so I know what these items cost immediately outside of the station. Absolutely disgusting corporate behavior.”

— Max Peterson · ★☆☆☆☆

“No pricing on 75% of their products is a big peeve of mine. But it's $1 off! /s The Walgreens is located nearby, below Hudson's and has more snack/drink selection with a listed price.”

— Cameron Weststrate (PhenomenallyCJ) · ★★☆☆☆

“If I could give them zero stars, I would. I had to ask the lady twice to purchase headphones. She ignored me and the when she finally moved to get the key, she decided helping someone price a bag of chips vs me purchasing headphones was more important. Note to business: if you are going to put anti-theft locks on everything, then staff your store sufficiently to help your customers.”

— Sally Word · ★☆☆☆☆

“It’s cool they have self checkout but over six bucks for a bottle of water is actual robbery 😭 it was hard to see the prices too with the tags turned down. Meanwhile in Penn Station I paid half the price.”

— Dymond · ★★★☆☆

“Prices weren't listed. $4.39 for water”

— Alex Spens · ★☆☆☆☆

“The staff member at the counter did not even look up as I walked the store twice trying to see if I found a shot glass in there. Great selection of books and magazines though!!! To be expected I know but pricy. Found some titles I was interested in but upon checking Amazon they were all at least $5 cheaper online than at the store. Super helpful for last minute choices for commuters.”

— Danira Vasquez · ★★★★☆ · 2022-3-23

“Scam prices for water. Greater than 6 for 1L water is crazy.”

— Alexandros Zervos · ★☆☆☆☆

“This was so confusing and people here didn't explain well at all. Stuff way overpriced I would loved the discount. Great stuff but the price ruins it. 0 star if it was posible”

— Carlos Alberto Perez · ★☆☆☆☆ · 2024-12-27

“Written in regards to staff member Elizabeth Berherels. Thank you so much. That day, my phone ran out of juice. I was desperate for a way to route my trip. You were the fourth person I'd talked to. I needed a place to charge my phone or to sell me a map. The area, unfortunately, has neither of those things. Elizabeth didn't send me away though. She was determined, and much more optimistic than I was, to find a solution. When no obvious answer was presented, she created one through personal means. Without skipping a beat, she'd assist me after giving every paying customer undivided atte”

— Alexander Chadwick · ★★★★★

“Incredibly overpriced. Want to pay $3.49 for a Vitaminwater, as well as other things sold for far more than what they are worth? Come to Hudson News! They make their living off of time-crunched travelers like you. Want to not pay $3.49 for a Vitaminwater? Go to Walgreens, it's a short walk downstairs.”

— Daniel · ★★★☆☆
