Our mission is to inform, engage, and inspire our readers to make a difference in the communities and neighborhoods we serve. We bring to this mission more than 100 years of combined journalism experience—accumulated from coast to coast and from the corridors of power in Washington, D.C., to the high school sports fields of Alachua County. We have deep ties to North Central Florida and want to see it flourish. Our coverage area includes Gainesville and Alachua County, plus Columbia, Levy, Suwannee, Union, Bradford, Gilchrist, Clay and Dixie counties.
