“Do not give them your credit card! On October 18, 2022 I was billed $567.81 This was for daily delivery. I opted to go with just Wednesday and Sunday which was told to me would be $16 per month. A total of $375.81 was refunded to me in November. That should leave a balance of $192. At the rate of $16 per month with my new subscription that should take me through 12 months delivery. Now I am told I am only paid up until June 4, 2023. I asked for an itemized statement as to what dates I am paying for and I was told it doesn’t work that way. I did take my credit card off their website and then I”

“I have never been a journal sentinel customer in my life, but from the one contact I had with a sales person I can tell how slimy they are as a company. I was at a Brewers game last year and there was a journal sentinel stand there. They where giving away brewers sweatshirts if you would "donate" $20 to the journal. They wouldn't take cash and a few of my family members wanted them so I asked if I could swipe for all of us. He said that that wasn't allowed and each person had to pay separately. Its obvious now what was happening (he was signing each of us up as members), but at the time I never”

“Customer service is absolute rubbish. I "paid" for one year of the Digital Access, my account was never granted access to the digital edition of the newspaper. I tried for 4 DAYS dealing with customer service via email, phone, and chat. I never got access. They then refused to refund my money because they "do not process refund for digital only subscription as we can only cancel up to the paid through date". My advice, avoid dealing with this paper, if something goes wrong with your account, good luck, you won't get anywhere with their overseas customer support center. If it's not in the FAQ ”

“Unethical charges. Never delivered papers for a year. Contract has a waiver of class action otherwise they'd be out of business. This is not a Milwaukee owned paper. It's owned by a national news company. Let them die”

“I expected more from The Journal Sentinel. I received a reminder to update my credit card information July 17th. Since July 20th I have tried to do this but each time I log in it sends me back to the login screen. Apparently there was an update to the system which prevents me from logging in. I've tried on my cell phone, my son in law has tried on his computer and I changed the password at the suggestion from my reply today, August 5, 2020 which did not help. I'm done. Their system is broken and apparently cannot be fixed. In my telephonic communication the third person I spoke with was awar”

“Have made contact and got several voicemails-none returned. Looking for our outside salesperson to run a company ad-no one knows! I spoke to customer service in another country they sent an email that had a non-working phone number and bogus email-clicked on the web link and got many alarms on my computer-malware? virus? What is going on?”

“You would think with the fact that print is dying they would cherish every subscription they get. They don’t. Customer service is useless, half of the time the people I spoke to didn’t even know what paper I was calling about. I got hung up on, I got chats closed out before something was resolved. Their response for everything was that they would escalate the issue which never happened. Do yourself a favor and pick another paper.”

“Sent me a letter saying the bill would be $31.00 took out $54.00 when I called sat on hold for 55 minutes then told you will get a refund $46.00, waited 3 days no refund. Called again sat n hold for 1hr told no your refund will be 23.00. Told them to listen to the last call, oh no we have a process and we are leaving for the day. The paper arrives late every day and last Sunday it came at 0900am. Terrible Customer Service”

“Called customer service to report that the paper was not delivered. I was told it would be delivered by 11:00 am. Never received the paper. Tried calling back and the calls would not go through. The call would disconnect. Terrible customer service. Ian going to cancel my subscription. Sick of the poor quality and service.”

“Would love to read the paper IF WE'D EVER GET IT!!! Customer service is useless and only provides empty promises of redelivery, guarantees that this will never happen again and hollow apologies. Consumers are warned against paying for goods and services prior to receiving them. Why doesn't this apply to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel??? I'm sorry I had to give even 1 star, but I couldn't post this comment without one.”
