About This Listing
Newsstand is a newsstand located in New York City, operating at 1758 Broadway in the Upper West Side neighborhood. It serves as a retail outlet for newspapers, magazines, and other periodicals, catering to both locals and visitors seeking printed media. The business functions as a physical distribution point for a range of publications, including daily and weekly newspapers, as well as specialty magazines. The stand offers a selection of current and back issues, though specific titles or operating hours are not listed on its website. Customers can browse and purchase publications in person, with payment typically handled via cash, card, or mobile payment systems. What visitors are saying
“Unique finds are not hard to come by at CASA! Really love the controlled chaos here. It’s fun to see they’ve expanded too — there is now a small cafe and coffee table book shop next door. What a good thing they have going 🙂↕️”

“Went today to get a limited issue of Vogue it was glorious. Friendly and helpful staff. Seats outside. I just sat and read on the most beautiful spring day. I’ll be back.”

“I was visiting from London and decided to check this place out. When I came in, the owner (an older man pictured below) didn’t acknowledge me at all and was scrolling through TikTok. When I asked about a magazine, his response was very blunt and unwelcoming. As I continued to look around, he started speaking in Urdu, which I understood to mean that I was wasting his time and said other things under his breath. Overall, it felt uncomfortable and unprofessional, and I didn’t feel welcome as a customer.”

“They have everything and guys who run it are so friendly. Be prepared for shimmy around while in there. It is tight tight tight.”

“Buyers beware of shady overcharging tactics. This place is notorious for charging above the cover price. When asked about price, the Owner / Employee referred to "the cover price" but upon being run up, the price went up $15. The card reader is barely legible in stating the final total so, look closely. Pay attention. Have them reconfirm the total multiple times. When we noticed the discrepancy after the transaction was made, the store refused a refund via card and cash. Why you'd soil your business reputation over $15 is beyond me. It's laughable: Casa was on the verge of closing for good du”

“CASA magazines is AN INSTITUTION in the world of print magazines and definitely worth a visit. The selection is extensive and updated. They have both popular titles, as well as more obscure/"indie" and international titles (Japanese, Korean, French). Employees are helpful and fun. Whoever runs their social media is doing a fantastic job keeping this medium alive. Print is so much more fun than digital. Grab a coffee and come peruse!!”

“I love coming here to explore their collections! Every time I come, I always go home with at least one magazine with me. The owners are very friendly and helpful, if you have questions about finding specific issues, they are very professional and knowledgeable! Can’t wait to check out some new launch this month!!”
