What visitors are saying

“Thankful that we still have historical sites such as this that we can learn about our nation's history. Friendly staff and interesting tour. We had to do the self guided but I would have preferred a guided experience.”

“A nicely restored Historical Property with a very friendly staff and very reasonably priced gift shop. As someone who appreciates antiques and collectibles, this place was hard to resist. A must visit!”

— Pooja Shukla · ★★★★★ · 2026-1-2

“Loved the history (been 20 years since we have been) and the new Surf Culture exhibition was so interesting! And the Liberty Tree was inspiring!”

— Julia Ebarb · ★★★★★ · 2026-2-13

“This was an interesting excursion. There are actually three houses and a small museum on the property. When the guide talked about the surf museum, I pictured "serf" with an "e"... It's actually a "surf" museum with "u". The oldest house was very interesting. Worth the stop.”

— Dan Wilding · ★★★★★ · 2025-6-1

“Make sure to take the guided tour when visiting this site. The tour guide explains in details how the home was constructed as well as it's place throughout history in St. Augustine. Don't forget to visit the map gallery on the grounds as well as see the cannonball stuck in the side of the home. This is a must see when visiting St. Augustine. So, so much history that shouldn't be missed.”

— Chloe Joniec · ★★★★★

“It was a nice experience to go see the oldest house in Saint Augustine. There is furniture from back then, and it's staged like in the 1700s and older. There are restrooms in case you need to stop by them. I'm uploading pictures from the outside, the inside downstairs and upstairs. Also, the kitchen was kept outside of the house because they were scared that the house might go on fire.”

— Daniela Arancibia · ★★★★★ · 2024-3-15

“Part of the oldest house in Florida. Definitely worth the visit!”

— Michael Mandarino · ★★★★★ · 2025-11-30

“Such an interesting place with a lot of history, and our tour guide did a great job. I wish I could remember his name! Check out the old maps while you're here, too. And there's a surfers museum on the grounds as well (we didn't go in there).”

— Diane Renkenberger · ★★★★★ · 2024-1-17
