“I signed up for a promotional subscription to the San Antonio Express-News at a local event. The “gentleman” who signed us up specifically stated the paper would be delivered to my house in the morning and that I would also receive digital access with an email confirmation. Neither of those things happened. The newspaper is not delivered to my home in the morning instead it arrives in the evening via USPS, which completely defeats the purpose of a daily newspaper. By the time it shows up, the news has already come and gone. I used to enjoy reading the paper in the morning with a cup of coffee”

“Absolutely atrocious customer service and borderline harassment. I moved, changed my address, didn’t get a paper for three days. Reported it to them each day. They promised me that they would fix it. They didn’t. Two weeks later I’m still getting charged for papers that were never delivered. So I ask for a refund for the papers not delivered. You only get refunds for days that you call in to report them undelivered. So I tell them I’m cancelling my paper subscription and they try to fight me about it. I’m a millennial that prefers a local newspaper… well… no more. Anyway, they call me every”

“Is there a way to give them 0 stars? I have called 3 times in the last 5 months to cancel my subscription. They never cancel it, they don’t send you confirmation of cancellation and they keep charging you. I called again today and the lady said there was not previous register of me calling to cancel, and that I owe an amount that was sent to collections since the transaction was disputed with my bank. This is “media” is BS, plus they charge ridiculous high amounts.”

“COMPLETE RIP OFF....Paper delivery is very poor and inconsistent. To be clear, this is not just a one time occurrence. I have had to call over 7 times in the last 6 months due to non-delivery. One of my grandmother's few enjoyments is reading the newspaper, and we're lucky if it gets delivered. I have often had to go to the store to get it, which is 5 times the cost. I agree with other previous comments concerning customer service and delivery. Customer service located in phoenix arizona even though they have a 210 area code, and they don't know which businesses sell the paper here locally. If”

“I agree with the other negative reviews. I signed up for a "deal" that was offered at Wal-Mart, but I never received the delivery. Despite that, I was still charged for it. When I called to cancel, I was hung up on several times. Eventually, I managed to cancel my subscription, and I hope that it has been successfully processed. Update: My bank account was still charged after being told it had been cancelled.”

“Do not sign up for this paper!!! I called to cancel a year ago and just realized that my account was charged over a year for a “digital copy.” When I called the customer service representatives were rude and condescending. I was repeatedly told that I authorized the non refundable charge. I never asked for a refund. I’m financially stable. I simply wanted the person held accountable for being untruthful. I was told that I could not speak to a supervisor due to it would be a long hold before telling me the same thing. I persisted that I would hold, and they repeatedly disconnected the call. Thi”

“Don't fall for it, no matter what! It's the same old subscription scam! I missed getting the paper, so decided to sign up in August. It was a 3 month deal, so I thought. They charged me monthly, even though when I called after the first charge, they said they would cancel it. It wasn't cancelled. I asked for a supervisor and I was hung up on. When I called back to ask for a supervisor, I was put on hold, indefinitely. 3 times I tried, and was put on hold for about 10 minutes each, and then hung up on. This company has no ethics and has predatory pricing and shady subscriptions. Years ago”

“I haven’t received my paper since I started my subscription. I signed up to get it every day. It’s been exactly 9 days and not a single paper delivered. Update: it took exactly 14 days to get my newspaper. Even though I signed up to get the newspaper everyday I did not get it everyday ESPECIALLY ON SUNDAYS. no matter how many times I called to let them know or go into the app to put in that i didn't receive the paper from that day. My paper that didn't come the day of was never replaced. I decided to cancel my subscription because of this and was told that I would continue to get my paper unti”

“The phone number on their website is wrong. When I tried calling the correct number shown here on Google maps I got stuck in electronic answering hell. No matter what I press I can't get to a live person and it keeps saying to call back tomorrow between 8-4. I want to cancel my subscription and have just cancelled my credit card instead, I'm sure I'll miraculously hear from a real human once they try to process my next payment.”
