“interesting buliding to visit. I keep passing this building and get intrigued, so I step into the lobby and enjoy the exhibition there as well as some interesting items displayed. You can see a giant globe in the middle and some interesting information on the wall as well as on the floor! The art deco architecture from outside is also charming. For sure, as you walk pass it on your way to the Grand Central or elsewhere, you can see the facade. The lobby area is accessible.”

“Security guard Zander kept flirting with me while I was out with my kids . We had a good day in the newsroom but he kept following us and making us feel uncomfortable. When I said NO I’m not interested he called me racial slurs and I had to leave with my kids. We will be filing a lawsuit.”

“If you have the opportunity to stop by this staple of Midtown Manhattan! It is not only the home of PIX11 but if I am not mistaken the Daily News headquarters is there at this location. So this building is a part of New York City history so take advantage of seeing the Globe in the lobby area.”

“As I write this review it has been 26 years since the Daily News left its flagship Art Deco offices. For me the attraction is not the building's exterior, which architect buffs will surely appreciate, no, it's the lobby. Over the course of 10 years I had three different jobs within a few blocks of the building and when I got stressed out, needed a break or was grabbing lunch I would often stop in just to stare at the massive turning globe in the lobby and let my mind wander. The last three years or so, unfortunately, the motor on the globe has been out of service and it no longer turns the glo”

“Home of Superman’s Daily Planet (inspiration for, at least). Publishers of the once great daily news. Bankrupt rag that it is, still houses a midtown must-see. Huge rotating globe surrounded by floor with brass rays showing direction and distance to the world’s notable cities. Great thing for kids too”

“The Daily News Building is a stunning Art Deco skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan. It was designed by Raymond Hood and John Mead Howells, and it was completed in 1930. The building is a New York City Landmark and a National Historic Landmark. The Daily News Building is best known for its iconic lobby, which features a giant globe and a collection of weather instruments. The lobby is also home to a number of historical artifacts, including a model of the Hindenburg airship and a copy of the first issue of the Daily News. The Daily News Building is a must-visit for anyone interested in architectu”

“Great attraction if you’re over 50 and saw Christopher’s Superman!! You won’t be shushed out of the entrance, so you can really take your time to admire the globe, you got info and pictures of the filming on the walls, story of the building, very nice break , and it’s always calm”

“An old standard that's been updated to present day security levels, while maintaining the classic, historical facade. Although it has been some time since I have been there, you can never forget those brass rotating doors. A sight which is becoming more uncommon in any big city in the United States, and I think most of the world! A timeless representation of great architecture. 😃😃😃”

“Horrible and mean employees. Cant even do filming locations. Without someone getting attitude. I guess they forgot about the super man movie. They might want to sue the film company making it the daily planet. I'll never go there ever again. Ppl in ny have severe horrible attitudes!!!!”
