The Record North Shore is a hyperlocal nonprofit news site that provides unbeatable coverage of local the government, schools, businesses, sports and people of the North Shore of Chicago. The Record launched in October 2020, a few months after the area lost its main source of local news. The three founders — Joe, Megan and Martin — were newsroom leaders at 22nd Century Media, which served the area for 10 years.
