Little Caesars has launched a new app inside ChatGPT that allows customers to order pizza through conversational AI, marking what the company describes as a first-of-its-kind feature in the quick-service restaurant industry.
The feature, rolled out nationally across all Little Caesars markets in the United States and available in many locations in Mexico and Canada, enables users to plan meals, receive personalized recommendations, and customize orders of any size directly within the ChatGPT interface.
According to Greg Hamilton, Chief Marketing Officer at Little Caesars, the development responds to shifting consumer behavior, with more people turning to generative AI as part of their search for dining options.
“Today’s consumers are turning to GenAI as part of how they search for everything, including where to get their next meal,” Hamilton said in a statement. “We recognize this shift and want to meet our customers where they already are and be the go-to for their pizza occasions.”
The process is designed to be natural and intuitive, allowing users to type requests such as “Pizzas for five people with no meat” and receive tailored suggestions based on preferences, dietary needs, budget constraints, and group size.
Once an order is built in ChatGPT, users can review and customize it further by adjusting toppings, changing quantities, or adding sides like cookie dough brownies before proceeding to checkout.
To use the feature, customers must launch ChatGPT, navigate to the Apps menu, and select Little Caesars. They are then prompted to sign in to an existing Little Caesars account or create a new one to link their profiles.
The app leverages Little Caesars’ existing mobile infrastructure and deep-linking capabilities to ensure a seamless transition from ChatGPT to the Little Caesars app for payment and order fulfillment.
This integration allows the completed order to be sent to the nearest restaurant location for in-store pickup, maintaining the company’s current fulfillment workflow while adding a conversational AI layer to the front end.
Little Caesars positions the feature as a tool for simplifying group ordering and meal planning, particularly for occasions like parties or family dinners where customization and coordination are key.
The company emphasizes that the goal is not to implement technology for its own sake, but to reduce friction in the ordering process for customers who prefer interacting through AI-driven interfaces.
As of the announcement date, the feature is live and accessible to ChatGPT users in supported regions, with no indication of additional hardware or software requirements beyond a standard ChatGPT access and a Little Caesars account.
