A car ramming incident in Liverpool, England, left 65 people injured, including four children, after a vehicle drove into a crowd celebrating Liverpool F.C.’s English Premier league title on Monday. Eleven people remain hospitalized but are in stable condition, police said Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the city center, packed with an estimated one million fans. A 53-year-old british man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, dangerous driving, and driving while unfit through drugs. Authorities stated the incident is not being treated as terrorism.

Merseyside Police Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims said a traffic management plan was in place, but the Ford Galaxy involved in the incident reportedly followed an ambulance through a temporarily lifted roadblock on Water Street.
