Liverpool Legend Predicts Salah and Van Dijk Will Stay, Alexander-Arnold too Depart
Former Sunderland and England striker Darren Bent believes Liverpool will lose trent Alexander-Arnold but retain the services of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
All three stars are out of contract at the end of the current season, leaving them free to negotiate with other clubs starting in January. Despite their importance to the team,Liverpool has yet to secure new deals with any of the trio.
Speaking on Talk Sport, Bent expressed his surprise at the situation, stating, “Its amazing that the trio have been allowed to get to this point.”
He went on to predict Alexander-Arnold’s departure, suggesting a move to Real Madrid could be on the cards. “If you ask me which player I would probably leave, I think it would probably be Trent Alexander-Arnold,” Bent said. “I think he would probably sign for Real Madrid,but I think Salah and Van Dijk would stay.”
Bent emphasized the irreplaceable nature of Van Dijk, stating, “If I had to pinpoint one player to whom I would say, ‘You’ve got to stay,’ for me it would be Virgil.You cannot replace any of them.”
Salah has publicly stated that he hasn’t received a contract renewal offer from Liverpool and remains uncertain about his future.
