Buenos Aires was the site of a vibrant celebration this weekend as television personality Lizardo Ponce marked his 35th birthday with a lavish party attended by a constellation of Argentinian celebrities. The event, held at a private discotheque in Puerto Madero, was characterized by a strict dress code – total black with a camouflage accent – and a palpable sense of festivity.
Ponce, known for his annual birthday celebrations, reportedly sought to create a particularly memorable event this year, having missed out on childhood birthday festivities. “As a kid, I never got to celebrate my birthday, there was never anyone around in January,” he shared with Teleshow. “So for the past three years, I’ve been celebrating in a big way with all my friends. Obviously, not everyone can make it, but most of them save the date and come with the best attitude.”
The party’s aesthetic was carefully curated, with Ponce opting for a venue that evoked both intimacy and high-energy entertainment. The space was divided into two distinct areas: a loft-style lounge reminiscent of the 1970s, and a state-of-the-art discotheque equipped with advanced sound and lighting systems. The choice of Caramelo, a well-regarded venue, was based on Ponce’s previous experiences attending events there.
Guests embraced the dress code with enthusiasm. Marta Fort arrived in a fitted black satin mini-dress with lace detailing, paired with black mid-calf boots. Maxi López opted for a dark blue satin suit, complemented by a black button-down shirt and sneakers with subtle embellishments. Emily Lucius donned a short black satin dress, while her sister Belén chose a fitted black vest with a low neckline, paired with dark trousers adorned with shimmering accents.
The guest list read like a who’s who of Argentinian entertainment, including Duki, Emilia Mernes, Mica Tinelli, Ian Lucas, Grego Rosello, Lucas Spadafora, Luli Fernández, and Martu Morales. Ponce was accompanied by his boyfriend, Franco Poggio, who sported a black, low-cut shirt with black trousers.
Beyond the stylish attire and high-profile attendees, Ponce emphasized the importance of creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. “I asked my friends to come dressed in total black to make it easy and just focus on coming to have fun,” he told Teleshow. “I chose Caramelo because I’ve been to parties there before and it was truly epic, so there was no better option.”
Prior to the larger celebration, Ponce hosted an intimate dinner for his closest friends. The gathering featured a casual, buffet-style menu of classic Argentinian comfort food, including milanesas (breaded cutlets), roasted vegetables, and empanadas. Emilia Mernes was among those in attendance, adding to the warm and convivial atmosphere.
The dinner included traditional birthday elements – a cake, toasts, and shared laughter – creating a sense of closeness and appreciation. The evening culminated in a group rendition of “Happy Birthday” as Ponce cut the cake.
The larger party continued the celebratory mood, with guests enjoying the music, ambiance, and each other’s company. Images from the event showcase a lively scene, with attendees posing for photos and enjoying the night. The event underscored Ponce’s position as a prominent figure in Argentinian entertainment and his ability to bring together a diverse group of friends and colleagues for a memorable occasion.
