A male body was recovered from the sea north of the Tower of Hercules in A Coruña on May 22, 2026.
According to CIAE 112 Galicia, emergency services received an alert after 10:00 AM. The body had been previously spotted by the crew of a fishing vessel approximately one mile north of the Tower of Hercules.
The recovery operation was carried out by the Gardacostas vessel ‘Punta Seixo Branco’.
Officers from the Autonomous Police remained with the body on the Gardacostas vessel until a patrol boat from the Civil Guard arrived. The deceased was then transferred to the port of Oza.
Security forces are currently working to identify the individual.
