London Knights Chase OHL Record with 17th Straight Win
The London Knights are close to setting an Ontario Hockey League record for the most consecutive wins. They achieved their 17th straight victory with a 5-4 shootout win against Kingston. This win puts them seven games away from their franchise record and eight games shy of the league’s all-time record.
Blake Montgomery was the standout performer, scoring two goals and adding one assist. Goalie Auston Elliott recorded his 10th win in a row since joining the Knights, making 36 saves during the game.
Easton Cowan missed his third consecutive game due to injury. He remains questionable for the upcoming match against Ottawa on Sunday. Cowan’s point streak stands at 54 games, just one game short of the all-time record held by Doug Gilmour.
The Knights will complete their road trip with a game against the Ottawa 67’s on Sunday. The puck drops at 2:00 p.m.
