On Friday, October 24, 2025, at approximately 3:58 p.m., officers responded to a request for a wellness check at a residence on Larch Drive in Herricks. The check was initiated after Ms. Asif failed to collect her children from school, a deviation from her usual routine, according to sources familiar with the examination.
Upon arrival, first responders found Ms. Asif unconscious and unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police observed apparent facial burns, adding to the mystery surrounding her death.
