Lord Nine Update: New Corrosion Rift Dungeon and Heart of Volkanka Region

Smilegate announced significant updates for the MMORPG LORDNINE: My Own Style MMORPG on April 30, 2026. The update, developed by NX3GAMES, introduces new world regions, competitive inter-server content, and an expanded equipment system designed to diversify character growth.

A central addition to the game is the Heart of Volcanca, a new world region that players can access from the existing Clanethia region. This area is designed to provide high-level challenges through the introduction of powerful monsters and a world continental boss named Lux.

According to the announcement, defeating the boss Lux allows players to obtain equipment in the legendary and mythic tiers, providing a high-stakes incentive for adventurers venturing into the new frontier.

Expansion of Support Equipment

The April 30 update also introduces a new category of support equipment intended to make character builds more versatile. Players can now choose to equip one piece of gear from three specific types: the Holy Grail, the Crystal Ball, or the King’s Scepter.

Each piece of support equipment provides unique resistance effects tailored to different enemy types. These resistances are specifically designed to counter attributes associated with spirits, dragonkin, and magical beasts.

To integrate these items into the existing progression loop, the support equipment can be upgraded using the same refining stones and weapon enhancement stones already present in the game’s economy.

Inter-Server Competition in the Corrupted Rift

Alongside the regional and gear updates, Smilegate has implemented a new piece of world content called the Corrupted Rift. This feature shifts the gameplay focus toward a specialized inter-server competition format.

In the Corrupted Rift, players engage in combat against both monsters and other players originating from different servers within the same world. This competitive environment utilizes a scoring system where players accrue points on both an individual and a server-wide basis through their victories.

This system introduces a layer of cross-server cooperation and rivalry, as individual performance contributes to the overall standing of the player’s home server.
