World Test Championship 2023-25 Cycle: Current Standings and Upcoming Matches

The highly anticipated final of the 2023-25 cycle of the World Test Championship is scheduled to take place at the iconic Lord’s cricket ground from June 11. As of now, India and Australia are leading the pack with 68.52 and 62.50 percentage points, respectively. However, the two finalists will be decided next year.

New Zealand is currently in third place with 50 percent points in the 9-team points table, closely followed by Bangladesh with 45.83 points. England is in fifth place with 45.00 percent points. The top teams are gearing up for their upcoming matches, with India set to play eight more matches in this cycle, including three home games against New Zealand and five in Australia.

Reigning champions Australia also have two Tests against Sri Lanka lined up. Meanwhile, Bangladesh will play their next series in India. The current standings have South Africa in sixth place with 38.89 points, followed by Sri Lanka (33.33), Pakistan (19.05), and West Indies (18.52).

In the previous editions of the World Test Championship, New Zealand and England emerged as winners in the finals held in Southampton and The Oval, respectively. As the 2023-25 cycle progresses, cricket fans can expect intense competition among the top teams.
