“Full House” actor Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli have separated after nearly 28 years of marriage. The los Angeles Times confirmed on Thursday, November 2, 2023, that the couple “are living apart” but “no legal proceedings are underway,” according to Loughlin’s representative.The initial report of their separation was published by People magazine.

Loughlin and Giannulli share two daughters: Isabella Rose Giannulli, born September 16, 1998, and Olivia jade Giannulli, born September 28, 2000. Both daughters have pursued careers as social media influencers.

Background: The College Admissions Scandal

The separation follows a period of significant public scrutiny for the couple stemming from their involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal. Loughlin and Giannulli were accused of paying bribes totaling $500,000 to facilitate their daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California (USC) as crew recruits, despite neither daughter participating in the sport. The Department of Justice announced charges against dozens of individuals, including Loughlin and Giannulli.

Loughlin pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud in May 2020. NBC News reported that she was sentenced to two months in prison,completed 100 hours of community service,and paid a $150,000 fine. Giannulli also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud and served five months in prison. The New York Times detailed his release from prison in April 2021.

In February 2024, Loughlin reportedly listed their los angeles home in Hidden Hills for sale at $16.5 million. People reported on the listing, describing the property as a Tuscan-style estate. the sale of the property may be related to the separation.
