The two-night event will take place on saturday, December 7th at First United Methodist Church and Sunday, December 8th at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, both starting at 7 p.m.
“We believe that by having fun our young singers can create better art,” says Fernando Malvar-Ruiz, Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus.
Each concert will feature approximately 200 performers, showcasing the diverse talent of young vocalists from over 60 communities.notably, 80% of the participants hail from the Pasadena area, highlighting the association’s strong local roots.
Malvar-Ruiz emphasizes that the LACC’s success lies in its unique approach to musical education.”If they love the process,than the end result is going to be better,” he explains. “The goal of LACC is not necessarily the concerts that are going to happen this weekend. The goal is what happens leading up to that, all of the rehearsals. That is the key of the LACC experience.”
