Lothar Matthaus: Inter Milan is a Top Side in Serie A and Europe

Lothar Matthaus, a former midfielder, praised Inter Milan as a top team in both Serie A and the Champions League. He emphasized the team’s blend of experienced players and young talents and highlighted their effective coach. Matthaus stated, “They’re a top side across all positions.”

Inter recently won the Serie A title and aims to defend it while making significant progress in Europe. Matthaus believes they have been competitive in Europe for some time and that they will continue to succeed in the Champions League.

He mentioned the importance of midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, calling him a key player for Inter. Matthaus noted that Calhanoglu has developed under coach Simone Inzaghi’s guidance and stressed the trust from his teammates.

Matthaus also mentioned Inter defender Yann Bisseck. He acknowledged that while Bisseck may not receive much attention now, he has the potential to be recognized in the future.

Regarding upcoming matches, Matthaus predicted a tougher challenge against Bayer Leverkusen compared to RB Leipzig. He expressed confidence in Inter’s abilities this season, saying they can win the Serie A title again, even with increased competition.
