The 2026 edition of Louder Than Life, Louisville, Kentucky’s massive rock and metal festival, has unveiled its full lineup, promising a powerhouse weekend of music from to . Joining previously announced headliners Iron Maiden and My Chemical Romance are Tool, Limp Bizkit, Pantera, Pierce the Veil, Gojira, and Danny Elfman, among nearly 200 bands set to perform across seven stages at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
The festival, produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, is anticipating another strong turnout after drawing over 240,000 fans last year. This year’s iteration is being touted as the largest in the festival’s 12-year history. Tickets are currently available for purchase.
The lineup is structured around four distinct headlining nights. will be led by Iron Maiden, with support from Pantera, and Megadeth. features My Chemical Romance at the helm, alongside Pierce the Veil and A Day to Remember. will see Limp Bizkit take the stage, supported by Papa Roach and Sublime. Closing out the festival on is Tool, with Gojira and Danny Elfman rounding out the bill.
Beyond the headliners, the festival boasts a diverse roster spanning multiple subgenres within rock and metal. Notably, the lineup is being highlighted for its strong representation of female-fronted acts, including Halestorm, In This Moment, Lindsey Stirling, Orianthi, Icon for Hire, Kami Kehoe, and Diamante. This curated selection aims to showcase the growing influence of women in the rock and metal landscape.
Several bands are using Louder Than Life as a key stop on their touring schedules. The festival will be Pantera’s only U.S. Show of the year, making it a particularly significant event for fans of the iconic metal band. Megadeth will also be playing what is described as one of their final performances, adding a sense of occasion to their set. Reunion sets from Circa Survive, Get Scared, Blood for Blood, Metal Church, Primer 55, Sent By Ravens, and 40 Below Summer are also planned, offering fans a chance to relive classic performances.
Danny Wimmer, the event organizer, emphasized the festival’s commitment to providing a comprehensive rock experience. “Louder Than Life is your playground — ride the coasters, catch legendary and emerging bands, enjoy incredible food and bourbon and dive headfirst into the rock experience you’ve been waiting for,” Wimmer said in a statement. “It’s time to let loose and have fun. In an effort to discover emerging talent, Danny Wimmer Presents is launching “Battle for the Big Stage,” a competition allowing hopeful bands to submit entries between and for a chance to perform at the festival. Details on how to enter can be found online.
Louder Than Life’s economic impact on Louisville is substantial. Organizers report that the festival, along with the sister event Bourbon & Beyond, generated over $43 million for the local economy in 2025. The events are expected to continue driving tourism and revenue for the region.
The festival takes place the weekend before Bourbon & Beyond, also produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, at the same venue, creating a two-week celebration of music and culture in Louisville.
